The Australian-designed Lockwood 930 Exterior Key-in-Lever Deadlatch Set offers commercial-grade performance, durability, and versatility. Specifically engineered to accommodate a vast range of architectural, commercial, and heavy-duty residential partition applications, this premium cylindrical lockset is cast from high-purity zinc alloy and finished in hard-wearing Satin Chrome (SC) to survive high-frequency operation.
As a purpose-built exterior entryway solution, the lock operates via a highly secure dual-control workflow. The outside handle remains rigid and locked until deactivated by a mechanical key or an internal turn-button release. Inserting the key smoothly locks or unlocks the exterior lever trim without directly retracting the main bolt, safeguarding the internal tracking pins against brutal handle-wrenching vandalism attempts. From the interior face, the lever handles provide an instant, single-action free egress safety escape at all times.
The Lockwood 930 Series is fully fire-tested, carrying an approved 2-hour rating on fire door assemblies in full accordance with Australian Standard AS1905.1:2005. Equipped with a standard 5-pin pin tumbler mechanism featuring a solid brass cylinder housing and brass barrel assembly, it natively supports complex institutional restricted master key matrices, maison keying configurations, and multi-level mechanical access control networks.

💡 Locksmith’s Installation Note:
While the Lockwood 930 mounts cleanly through a standard 54mm cross-bore hole, its commercial configuration relies on a deeper 70mm latch backset. If you are retrofitting this heavy-duty leverset over a legacy residential entryway originally prepped with a shorter 60mm backset, the lock chassis will sit too close to the door frame and fail to interface with the latch tongue. To safely update the door face, you must use a specialized cylinder hole alignment template tool to drill out the extra wood or aluminium further into the door leaf, cleanly shifting the 54mm center line back to 70mm without creating an oval cutout that slips past the rose trim lines.
