ASSA ABLOY eCLIQ keys are purely electronic meaning no key cutting is required.
• Normal and Dynamic user keys are used by key holders to open cylinders and locks
• Dynamic keys are intended for cases when access rights often change as it is easy to program changed access rights directly to user keys.
• Normal user keys are intended for cases where access rights are stable (e.g. grand master key) or changes are very rare. Changing the access rights for normal user keys is done by changing electronic openings inside eCLIQ locks via the C-key.
• Electronic openings in locks are defined in the locking planning software.
• Both Normal and Dynamic user keys have a time/validity and calendar feature.
• An eCLIQ key can be programmed to be always valid, valid between two dates or invalid. It is also possible to setup a revalidation interval forcing the key holder to update their key on a regular basis or the key will become invalid.
• With the calendar feature it is possible to setup a weekly operating schedule for the key. This allows the administrator to specify multiple time periods when the
key is granted access throughout the week. The key can for instance be programmed to open cylinders Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 1pm
